Brothers Johannes Torpe and Rune Reilly Kölsch are the creative genius behind Johannes Torpe Studios. Sharing a mutual love for design and music, the brothers joined forces in 2002 forging a globally unique design-music powerhouse, with worldwide smash hit “Calabria,” runaway restaurant success SUBU in Beijing, and other critically acclaimed projects. The brothers have won numerous awards for their design and music efforts, and continue to push forward their creative melting pot design-music conglomerate.
In joining forces, Johannes and Rune discovered that they as individuals, and as a team, were inspired in ways each had previously never experienced. They share a creative community, a mutual passion, energy and musicality that brings out the best in them. The brothers’ commercial and artistic successes are a testament to this synergized approach.
