The SUBU Glassware and porcelain series were created with the SUBU restaurant in mind. The organic and lush shapes from the Chinese restaurant were channeled into the curves and shapes of this unique series of tableware. Sharp and functional characteristics melt together with nature and hand-craftmanship to form everything from the details of the stackable water glass, to the way the plates greet each other by striving up from the center. The universe of SUBU is one with a modern Scandinavian mood and a dash of Johannes Torpe’s take on Chinese traditions.
