We are thrilled to share that the United Cycling Lab & Store has been shortlisted in Dezeen Awards 2019.

More than 4500 entries were submitted to Dezeen Awards this year, and it is an honor to have been selected as one of the top 6 in the Retail Interior category.

This recognition further motivates us and confirms our belief in the future of retail that we conceptualized in the United Cycling LAB & Store. Namely, that the retail space of the future should go beyond the act of purchasing. It should be a place what conveys the underlying brand in an authentic way and where people can admire the products.

Being one of the finalists for this award is a huge acknowledgement, especially with this project showcasing our truly multidisciplinary approach:
Rethinking all dimensions and ´injecting´ the brand’s DNA, strategy and intentions into the physical atmospheres of United Cycling has created not just a retail showroom and headquarter, but a global media platform for the business.

Aligned with this approach, the United Cycling LAB & Store realizes the future of retail drawing inspiration from the sophisticated engineering of the displayed carbon fiber Argon 18 bicycles. The design concepts blends elements from the world of mechanics, technology and community resulting in a modern monastery for the science of cycling.

Translating the concept of a classical monastery into a modern retail space enabled to create a space that serves not only retail functions but supports the vision of United Cycling to move the industry forward. The applied design solutions represent the professional craftmanship of the displayed products and result in an almost like sci-fi laboratory.
